May and the weather is still warm and I and photographing some different things. All still near home, because you don’t have to go far to get great shots, sometimes just outside the front door.

Selected pictures for April. All pictures were taken within a 1,5 km length of West Creek Park, Toowoomba.
There is a huge amount to see along this heavily modified creek corridor. Other than the fact it is a natural drainage system for the spring that emerges at Kearney’s Spring, the whole corridor has been abused. Some sections are cradles completely in concrete, while other sections have natural, if designed, appearance. These photos are from that part.

After a photographic hiatus of over 25 years, with some brief periods interspersed when I took photos to accompany magazine articles published between 1988 and 1992, I am back into photography.
While I previous used a film SLR camera, for this re-connection I am using an older camera – a Ricoh Capilo R5.
